This shoot was very special, but it wasn’t until I saw the pictures that I knew why. I was having a hard time giving my all during this shoot, because I was dealing with something very personal. It happened to be on the anniversary of one of my most treasured friend’s death. He was taken early due to complications from a motorcycle accident. It was a bitter sweet day because we also happened to shoot one block away from his loft in downtown SLC which is also the scene of the crash. I wanted to shift my focus and instead of sulking, try to honor what a beautiful person he is and was and how he always made me feel like anything was possible. Brian is felt by many is such a big way….just like his billboard in I15.
For whatever reason, I always gravitate towards skirts and dresses in the summertime. I really enjoy the playful ruffle on this shabby apple sands skirt. Shabby Apple is loaded with one shot wonder dresses (just put on the dress and that is it…one piece no fuss). It also come is a great red and tan print. xo
