Sundance Style Essentials

01|14|2014

Sundance-Film-Festival-fashion-3

Ok, so I have never claimed to be an expert and I am the first to say that fashion is opinion, but when It comes to staying chic in Utah weather, I may know a thing or two! I was born and raised here in the Rockies of Utah, so I am pretty crafty when it comes to looking chic while staying warm.  The streets of Park City Main Street are often slushy and covered in snow/ice.  I have done Sundance in heels many times….I even got these amazing rubber soled industrial strength Burberry heels one year.  For me, it’s not worth it…unless of course you’re headed right into a warm venue or going to an evening party and won’t have to stand in long lines or shlep around in the snow and ice.  Even then, I have always regretted wearing heels (it takes a lot for me to make that statement). Which is why I picked Sorels. The perfect all day Sundance style boot.

As an actress (very part time), I really appreciate how Sundance honors its vision and tries its best to keep the festival about the art of filmaking. Problem is, Paris Hilton shows up, and now it’s like an episode of Jersey Shore! Those of you who have never been to the festival would be surprised how understated most people are….especially the legitimate ones. My goal was to  keep this essentials list casual and doable with just a touch of flair (hence the Valentino rock stud camo trapeze bag).  I hope you enjoy!

Missy, my mistake….yes, it’s a men’s jacket. Because they are a French company the lines are cut more slender and the sizes run smaller.

Here is one of their most highly rated jackets http://rstyle.me/~1hp2K this one will keep you extremely warm. Moncler is very chic and high end. I don’t always invest in high end, but when it comes to something I will wear for years, I believe it’s worth it. Their coats really are so luxurious AND so warm.

I am happy to send more links of recommendations if you would like to email at thefashionfuse@gmail.com

Thank you! I’ve been considering a Moncler jacket for years, but nobody carries them in SLC to try it on! Or do they? I should just order one.
