I have a thing for matching tops and bottoms, but if not styled right they can look obvious or mannequin like (too perfect therefore not styled).  If the pieces are patterned like above, I like to add a solid colored piece to break it up. Be sure to pick a color that enhances the pattern.  If the pieces are solids, then try adding something (coat, jacket, vest, scarf or whatever looks right)  printed or use a different texture than the matching pieces.

I am wearing matching pieces from Junie Blake that are interesting to the eye, easy to style, comfortable and really affordable.  Wanna know one of my favorite simple styling tricks?? Add a designer bag (like the Chanel above) or shoes to elevate any look and instantly make it look more expensive.  If you invest on a few solid classic pieces, all of your outfits will look nicer.  I finished off the look by mixing metals with these beautiful handmade Rebecca MirGrady silver bracelets and a T and J Designs Spike Pave bracelet.

Great Print! The pop of orange adds the right amount of brightness.

Rachel, Thank you! The Coral coat by Zara is sold out, but Jcrew has a similar coral coat that I linked above. xo
