5 Tips for Better Blog Content

Hi Happy Friday!

I have been thinking about my blog journey and what strategies I employ to generate new and exciting content. The single most important thing I tell people is that content is simply, EVERYTHING. Trust me, I have spent many hours and dollars on shiny new programs or technology that really don’t make a difference. Successful blogs start with quality material and only add bells and whistles to accentuate.

So if you’ve been needing some motivation to up your game, look no further. Here are my 5 methods:

Don’t Get Behind

This may seem like a no-brainer, but it really is so crucial keeping up with your blog content. In order to drive SEO and traffic to your site, you must keep up with new posts. In doing so you up your chances of getting new, unique visitors to your space. Try using an online calendar to regulate and streamline all your posts.

Remain Authentic

Keep your voice. You as an individual have a unique and special viewpoint that is worth sharing. Your blog content will be so much better if this perspective comes through. This tends to keep your writing fresh and hold a reader’s attention.

Know Your Audience, Really Well

Another key to better content is knowing what your readers like. Pay attention to what generates or starts a conversation, what drives commenting or traffic to linked pages. In doing so, you will maintain a following with consistently targeted content. Look into using an analytics tool to learn more about their specific demographics, and interests. Another great way to learn about your audience is to engage with them, try the Facebook or Instagram live feature!

Curate

This is sometimes the hardest part, it requires the most time and effort. This is where you really channel your efforts into building a cohesive brand. In order to create better blog content make sure everything you post has continuity. Everything should look related, from your color schemes to your filters, to your font choices. This helps your audience recognize and identify your branding.

Switch it Up

If you feel yourself in a rut with content, mix it up! Look into other ways to get your message or vision across. Step away from the same old same old blog post and do a video! Or force yourself to write about something completely new.

Lovely tips dear, and yes, it’s extremely important to remain authentic. At this day, bloggers get so much pressure from trends, and you don’t want to fall into the trap of buying and wearing stuff you didn’t even like, just to ‘in’. Also, love what you said about “curate”, because It’s often overlooked.
